Blog 5:

Out of all the tools we have learned/ will learn in this class, I was sure Diigo was going to be the hardest since it was the only one I have never heard of. I think I can end up really liking Diigo after I get more comfortable with it. I like that it is super easy to bookmark pages and save them for later. I am not a fan of the website page where all the bookmarks are saved though. That page is very confusing. It has a lot going on on it and it is hard to navigate.

I am not the biggest fan of blogging since I do not like writing. I do not really like having to share my opinions with the whole web for anyone to see. I do, however, like this process we have for class and I do like the website Blogger and might use it in the future to keep my family up to date when I start traveling after graduation. I also learned that blogging takes more time than I thought. I thought writing blogs would be easy, but it takes a lot more time and effort than I thought.

An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I really like is WeAreTeachers. We Are Teachers is a website that gives teachers ideas for the classroom, free printables, coupons, career advice, articles, and so much more. I love that the site is set up so that it is easy to navigate and very user-friendly. You can pick classroom ideas based off of grade level, or if you teach multiple, you can choose what types of school you are in (elementary, middle, high). I love that this website has a section for deals. Teachers put so much of their own money into their classrooms to make their kids feel welcomed, that it is nice to know there are deals out there that you don't have to search for!

  1. In fact, I think Diigo is going to be the easiest. It is quite intuitive and provides a lot of affordance to collaboration. It often turns out to be many people's favorite piece of tech.
